With the Idea Management Software from qmBase, your employees have the opportunity to submit their ideas and suggestions for improvement straight from any device. The employee describes his idea and assigns it to a predetermined category, e.g. process improvement, occupational safety or environment. For a better illustration of the idea, images or other files can be attached. Suggestions for improvement cannot only be submitted by individuals but also as group proposals by several employees. Each idea submitted is automatically forwarded to the designated employees for technical and organizational evaluation. Flexible role concepts ensure efficient processes. If an idea is intended for implementation, further information about the idea can be attached, such as the potential savings of the idea or the bonus paid to the employee. The necessary measures for implementation can be recorded in the Task Management and can be linked directly to the idea.

The Idea Management Software offers you flexible role concepts to adapt the processes to the requirements of your company. The following roles are defined:

  • Idea Coordinator: The Idea Coordinator is the first to receive the idea after being submitted by the employee. The idea coordinator makes the first technical evaluation.

  • Idea Manager: After successful evaluation by the idea coordinator, the Idea Manager decides on the actual implementation of the proposal. For support, the Idea Manager can request additional export opinions from employees.

  • Reviewer: Every employee can be asked for an expert opinion by the Idea Manager. This process step is optional.

Before the suggestion for improvement is submitted, the employee chooses the responsible Idea Coordinator. The Idea Coordinator makes the first technical examination of the idea and decides whether it is accepted or returned to the employee. If the idea has the necessary quality and is accepted by the Idea Coordinator, then it is automatically forwarded to the Idea Manager. The Idea Manager makes the decision about the organizational implementation. For this purpose, further expert opinions can be requested.

By assigning roles, the Idea Management can be adapted to the needs of large and small businesses. In large companies, departmental Idea Coordinators can review the ideas. The ideas can then be bundled with the Idea Manager. The Idea Manager can additionally involve the expertise of other employees in the decision process. In small businesses, the roles of Idea Coordinator and Idea Manager can be merged in a single employee. In this case, all ideas are evaluated and handled by a single person.
